Tyler S. Bugg is a New York-based writer, producer, and organizer originally from central Georgia.

He is currently NYC Manager of New America, a think tank and civic enterprise repurposing American politics in the digital age. Before that, he was Programs Manager at Fourth Arts Block, an arts leadership and advocacy organization in the Lower East Side.

He has directed, curated, and performed in several theater and dance performance works across the United States, the UK, and Puerto Rico, including: Eve Ensler’s A Memory, A Monologue, A Rant, and A Prayer (2012); I break and I build (2013); Paternalism in the living room of small town America (2013); and CURRENT SESSIONS’s Volume IV, Issue II (2014).

He has held fellowships for Obama for America and at the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs at Georgetown University. His writing has appeared in TIME, Pacific Standard magazine, Salon, among others. He sits on the advisory board of Change Matters, an anti-hunger advocacy and policy organization.

He holds an MA in Arts Politics from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and a BA in Comparative Politics at the University of Georgia.
