Cory Booker was elected to the United States Senate in October 2013, where he has focused on creating jobs, increasing the speed of Hurricane Sandy recovery, investing in our nation’s infrastructure, and addressing the economic squeeze facing middle class families in New Jersey. The Senator is working to break down partisan barriers so as to move forward on issues such as reforming the criminal justice system and empowering young people through access to apprenticeships. Before the US Senate, Cory Booker was mayor of New Jersey’s largest city, Newark. Booker graduated from Stanford University, Yale Law School, and was also a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University.
