Layla Law-Gisiko is Chair of the Central Park Sunshine Task Force of Manhattan Community Board Five. In that role, she recently led CB5 to develop a set of policy statements critical of the rapid development of megatowers along Central Park.
Layla has been a member of CB5 for 12 years and has held numerous leadership roles including the chairmanship of the education committee and the landmarks committee.
She is a published author, journalist and documentary director. She's called New York home for the past 19 years.
She holds a Master’s degree in French literature from La Sorbonne University in Paris, the city where she was born and grew up.
