Eric Greene was born and raised in Brooklyn. He started working at the Department of Parks and Recreation in 1990. From Assistant Gardener, to Brownsville Recreation Center Deputy Center Manager, to Greenstreets Coordinator, to Borough Crew Supervisor, Mr. Greene held many positions at the agency over the years. In 2002, he was promoted to his most recent role, Parks and Recreation Manager, in which he oversees districts 6, 7, 17, 18, 15, and Manhattan Beach. Additionally, he was the founder of the Young Explorers Track Club, which recently evolved into Team Greene Fitness. Together, these programs have been serving Brooklyn’s youth for 26 years.
