In a globally coordinated effort to address the challenges and opportunities of urban dwellers through a shared urban agenda, the United Nations will convene in Quito, Ecuador in October 2016 for Habitat III. This global conference convenes every 20 years to plot the progress of urbanization. Joined by diverse voices from civil society, this session will explore how non-governmental entities like MAS must play a role in informing this agenda. This session will provide a preview to a full day event that immediately follows this year’s Summit—The Urban Thinkers Campus: Road Map to the City We Need, co-hosted by MAS and The New School on Saturday, October 24.
