Since the passage of the National Historic Preservation Act nearly 50 years ago, preservation and adaptive building reuse have become powerful tools for managing change, spurring economic growth, and contributing to the betterment of vibrant, sustainable communities. The National Trust for Historic Preservation, the World Monuments Fund, and the Municipal Art Society are three esteemed organizations that have worked tirelessly to advance the preservation movement and have served as ongoing stewards of its evolving agenda.
